Our Trip Up North

A week or so ago, we headed up to MA to visit Grams and Grandpa. It was a long trip up (about 10 hours) due to quite a bit of traffic in Connecticut. But Jarrett was a trooper, he took his naps at his normal time (though shorter than normal) and enjoyed a picnic lunch in Connecticut. Harper just slept the whole time and was happy to be included I think!

Jarrett spent most of the time crawling around everywhere enjoying that there were no gates to limit him. He kept everyone entertained and on their toes as he kept wanting to explore the hearth.

Daddy and Mommy, did like true New Englanders and stopped for their wicked good Dunkin Donuts coffee and went for a walk on the Pepperell rail trail early one morning.

We also went and checked out the Lowell Folk Festival with Grams and Grandpa. Jarrett enjoyed checking out the trains the most.

We also spent some time just hanging out in the yard. Jarrett enjoyed walking around and checking things out with his Grampa (as did Harper). He also spent some time in the pool they got for him.

We also tried to hit up the Ecotarium one day in Worcestor, but I sort of forgot  to check if it was open. And...it wasn't. So we ended up at some big park in Worcestor, which had a petting zoo- that was also closed. Sheesh. Needless to say, it wasn't an overally exciting outing- but the park was nice.

After some more rental car troubles, we got yet another new rental car for the trip home. We left real early in the morning to head home and made it back in about 8 hours with just a few stops to stretch. Jarrett seemed to enjoy the ride as he barely slept at all!
