Jarrett really seems to enjoy heading out of the house at least once a day for a walk or an errand. Riding in the car pretty much guarantees us a nap. So this weekend, Jarrett had his first visit to Costco. Since it was such a long ride to Costco, Jarrett was actually awake while we were there. Costco was insanely crowded and Jarrett didn't know what to think. But he really enjoyed staring at the ceiling for a long time.
On Sunday, we went to the Manor Tavern for their Maryland Festival. It was a beautiful day for it. There were a lot more people than we expected. They had different vendors from around Maryland. We enjoyed a local beer, some Old Bay Snickerdoodles, and some pulled pork.
Jarrett and I also decided to head out early and go check out the Tall Ships leaving Baltimore this morning. I was sad to have missed all the Star Spangled Celebrations this weekend (especially the fireworks and the Blue Angels), so it was nice to at least catch the ships on their way out. It was the perfect day to walk along the water. Jarrett and I also had lunch at Panera since we were waiting to drop off some A World of Whimsy items to 2910 on the Square which wasn't open yet.
But the big news of the week is that Jarrett has been sleeping in his own room for both naps and at night. I was a little nervous the first night and woke up and checked on him far more times that I care to admit. We decided to make the move because he is a very LOUD sleeper. He also wakes up a lot and soothes himself back to sleep, but during these awake times he is very chatty. We still can't seem to figure out an exact schedule for him, but he's usually up by 6 in the morning to start the day and consistently is asleep by 8pm, and wakes up a few times in between. He's eating about every 3 hours during the day and takes 2-3 naps.
