Thanksgiving with Friends and Family

We were very happy to have a few days off to relax and spend with Jarrett. I really miss seeing him in the morning when he is at his most playful and smiley. Jamal had Wednesday off so Jarrett got to spend the day at home playing. He tried out this new horse that one of Jamal's coworkers handed down to  us. He thinks it is fun (pretty much anything that  bounces is fun) but he isn't quite big enough to hold himself up on it yet.

He also continues to love the door bouncer and it seems to give him a good workout. It comes in handy while we are getting ready in the morning or folding laundry. I have even been able to get a little crafting done while he is bouncing!

On Thursday, we got up and made some pies for Thanksgiving. Pecan and apple. Both recipes I've never tried before. They both were good, but the pecan seemed to be a big hit!
Later that day we went to Aunt Lee's for Thanksgiving and met up with the family. There was lots to be Thankful for this year, especially our little man, but Momma Jackie was definitely missed.

Jarrett and cousin Bryson ready to go home.
Hanging out with Aunt Pearl

Happy Thanksgiving!
On Friday, we took Jarrett to Kennedy Krieger's Festival of the Trees. It was super crowded, loud and overwhelming. But Jarrett was a trooper and looked around at all the lights and the trees. He considered sitting with Santa, but then we saw the line.....
Notice how short Jarrett's pants are?
Not impressed.

We also put up our Christmas tree and Aunt Jaina came to visit with Jarrett while she was out running errands.
Jarrett liked looking at the tree and all the lights.

Saturday night we took Jarrett to Elizabeth's and Mikes for a dinner party. He continued to be a trooper and hung out with everyone. We thought he'd go down for a nap in Isaac's room while Isaac was off visiting his Grandparents, but Jarrett was way too interested in all the fun new things to look at in there and ended up coming back down to hang out for a while before falling asleep in his carseat.

Jarrett has been very interested in Daddy's drinks lately.
In other news, Jarrett seems to be going through a growth spurt. He is wanting to eat a lot more and has been taking long naps. We put him in a 6 month outfit that he was wearing comfortably just a week ago and it now looks like he is wearing cropped pants! (Daddy wasn't happy as he just bought this outfit!) We had to go through the closet and make sure we had all the 6 month and 9 month stuff dug out so that he wouldn't outgrow things before he got a chance to wear them. He heads to the doctor this week for his well visit and we are looking forward to seeing his stats!

Today we are just relaxing at home. Jarrett is already enjoying his first nap of the day even though it's only 8 am.
