Jarrett was very interested in Calvin. Calvin was happy to share his toy trains with Jarrett but I think he wished maybe Jarrett was a little bit older and able to play with him more. He also wasn't so sure he wanted to share his mommy with Jarrett. He enjoyed holding Jarrett for a minute but found him a bit too heavy. Heidi also brought along Jarrett's alphabet book that everyone helped make at my baby shower. As you can see, he thinks it is pretty neat!
This weekend we ventured out the the Rosedale Library to check out Storyville. Jarrett enjoyed looking around and watching all the kids play but we think he will like it more when he is a bit more mobile. Mommy and Daddy had a little trouble getting over the germ factor- so many things that could be stuck in mouths. But, we did see a woman cleaning all the toys regularly, so that was promising. Daddy put on a puppet show for us and Jarrett and I had fun playing in a boat and looking out the window of the post office. We also stopped in the children's section of the library and read a few books before we left.
Today we were happy to see some nice weather so after a visit from Aunt Jaina, we ventured out to Oregon Ridge for a little hike. Harper even got to join in the fun. Jarrett liked the view from the Ergo, and he was much easier to carry on my back.
We ended the day with some snuggles/nap on the couch and then a nice bath- which is becoming more and more necessary as his food seems to like to get stuck under his chin. Bath time is quite fun now and Jarrett loves playing with his rubber ducky and splashing me.
