Jarrett has also been eating quite a few new foods. We've been trying to introduce chunkier purees as well as some finger foods. Besides his purees he has now had plenty of small pieces of banana (his favorite for sure), melon ( a new favorite), peas (not a fan), blueberries, small pieces of bread, teething crackers, strawberries, carrot cubes, rice, cheese, pasta, mushroom, sweet potato cubes, and a piece of a pirogi (costco sample that he loved!) That's all I can think of for now. He still doesn't have any teeth but he is doing well mushing it all around. Tonight he also had some oatmeal banana muffins I made for him that seemed to be a hit.
I had a nice first mother's day. Jamal and Jarrett let me sleep in and then cooked me a delicious breakfast. We ran some errands and just relaxed and played with Jarrett. I think I even took a nap. They also gave me a little locket with Jarrett's name and picture.
We've been continuing to enjoy the nice weather. These are a few pictures from a hike at Robert E. Lee park we took a week or so ago.
He also had a visit from the Bradbury's a week or two ago and got to visit his friend, Owen. Although, Jarrett decided he had to take a nap mid-visit so he left Owen to check out some of his toys.
Jarrett and Jamal went to the zoo on Friday since it was such a nice day. Looks like Jarrett was enjoying a snack while watching the monkeys.
Jarrett no longer seems to want to sit correctly in his bouncy chair and instead seems to prefer to chair surf, or just climb out of it. He likes to sit up on his knees and make it bounce.
Story time has become a bit of a challenge. Jarrett can't seem to sit still and just wants to turn all the pages and roll around. Jamal made it through one page of this book, I think.
