Jarrett has been enjoying summer! He has spent lots of time outdoors and lots of time playing. We recently made his pool into a little ball pit (which since all the rain, has now made its way into our living room!) It was a hit. He especially loves to bang the balls together and kick his feet.
Jarrett had a play date with some of Mommy's friends and their kids this week at Megan's. He napped through half of it, so we were late, but he had fun playing (eating) in the sandbox with Alice and trying out her toys. He was a big fan of this repainted cozy coupe.
Also, Grams and Grampa sent Jarrett a water table, with rubber duckies (his favorite). He has also added, "quack" to his vocabulary this week. You can see in this picture that he has also learned to clap and yell, "Yay!" This happens several times a day now. We are enjoying being cheered for and enjoy the self-esteem boost. :)
Today, Jarrett also got to visit with his friend, Isaac. We met Elizabeth and Isaac at the Play Cafe in Hampden. It was pretty busy with lots of moms and kids. Jarrett always enjoys watching everyone. We all enjoyed our food, and Isaac tried out the kid's menu which was a hit. They played in the play area for a few minutes, but like I said, it was busy and we feared they were going to get trampled by some of the older kids. They did enjoy a few minutes of a puppet show performed by one of the older boys at the cafe.
