We've been taking advantage of the nice fall weather and my last few weeks of maternity leave. Jarrett really enjoys spending time outdoors and he seems to sleep better after we've gone on some adventures (not to mention in the car!)
I took Jarrett to Cromwell Valley Farm one day to walk around. He enjoyed being in the Ergo Carrier and being able to look all around.
Jamal and I also took him to Longwood Gardens to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. He's much more observant of our surroundings.
We also spent time outside at home around the fire pit. Jarrett must have been relaxed because even though we were outside and the neighbors were visiting, he still managed to fall asleep.
Jarrett also attended his first birthday party this week for Ava at Kinder Park Farm. He met a goat, but was much more interested in looking up at the trees. He doesn't seem too interested in other children yet.
He has been very interested in his hands recently and is starting to be able to grab things and bring them to his mouth. He especially loves to suck on his fingers and thumb. We don't see any teeth coming through though. He is quite the drooler though and often goes through multiple shirts in a day!
He is starting to enjoy tummy time a lot more and as you can see does a pretty good job of holding up his head. He likes to turn to look in the mirror.
He also spent some more time with his friend, Isaac this week. Although Isaac was napping for most of our visit, they did get to see each other for a few minutes. It's interesting to see how much more controlled Isaac's movements are than Jarrett's even though he is just a few months older.
Jarrett is also enjoying his stories more. He laughs and giggles when we read to him and looks at the pictures. He also enjoys when you sing to him and bounce him on your knees.
Finally, just a few more cute pictures from the last week.
