December Fun

We have had a busy month already, with lots of outings with Jarrett! Updating the blog is getting harder and harder as I seem to have less time the more active Jarrett becomes! Go figure.

Jarrett is a full on walker...runner even. He's fast and into everything. He still loves to go through the drawers in the kitchen, but now instead of throwing things on the floor, he brings them to us. Like, he brings a refillable pouch if he wants yogurt, or goes in the cupboard to get some cheerios. He also seems to recognize boxes of things like Cheerios and Goldfish while we are at the supermarket. This has made grocery shopping a little more of a challenge, as he seems to think he needs these things immediately.

He is getting 2 more teeth on the top. They didn't seem to bother him much coming in. Not that we really noticed anyways.

He has learned quite a few more words and phrases, such as "Hurry Up!" (Harper's bathroom command...haha) and "Let's Go" (also to Harper). He repeats a lot like, "Love You!" and "1, 2, 3, 4" from one of his favorite songs.

We had Thanksgiving # 2 the day after Thanksgiving at home. Jarrett was not a fan of mashed potatoes but was happy to eat everything else.

We decided on small Christmas tree in the corner this year so we wouldn't have to rearrange furniture or try too hard to keep Jarrett away from it. 

Jarrett loves these 2 ornaments on the tree. One is a rabbit and the other is a dog. He takes them off everyday and kisses them. He also likes to take off that embroidered tree ornament. Everything else he leaves alone. 

We took Jarrett down to the German Christmas Village (he was unimpressed) and then we stopped by the Science Center, which he found way more entertaining.

We also swung by Kennilworth Mall and checked out the trains. He loved them. 

On Friday, Daddy took him to the farm sprouts program at the Maryland Agricultural Center. I just found out about it, and it was a hit! Jarrett and Jamal both loved it. This week's topic was sheep and yarn. Jarrett learned about wool and sheep first. Then he did a craft with Daddy (a wooden sheep ornament). They had story time and snack. Then, Jarrett's favorite part was sheep herding (chasing balloons decorated like sheep). Jamal said it was very well done and they can't wait to go back. After their busy morning, they refueled with some ribs at Mission BBQ. Apparently- their new favorite place to spend Fridays!

We also went to Christmas at Longwood Gardens, but I haven't downloaded the pictures yet, so- next time!
