Size: I don't know June's official weight and height but she is fitting snuggly in 12 months clothes. And is quickly outgrowing her bucket carrier. She was weighing in at 17 1/2 pounds at her 9 month appointment but I think she has had a growth spurt since then.
Eating: After about 2 weeks of eating purees, June just refused and never went back. She eats things like peas, carrots, black beans, eggs, pasta, corn, potatoes and any fruits. Avocado seems to be a favorite. She has also learned to drink water from a sippy cup this week. (Planning to toss those bottles the minute she is drinking real milk...so tired of washing them).
Moving: She could stand at 9 months and now easily pulls herself up and lowers herself very carefully. She is fast when she crawls, but prefers to be standing. I don't think it will be long until she can walk. She is starting to cruise on the furniture. She loves bouncing up and down and dancing while she is holding onto the furniture or your leg. She also loves to wave and clap and harass Harper and Jarrett.
Talking (?) She says "Mama" and "DaDa" and "uh oh." Then she seemed to move on to repeat just about everything. It isn't always clear but she says things that sound like "This" "Hello" "Bye" "Hi" and lots of other sounds.
Sleeping: Oh sleeping...we miss you. June clearly doesn't need as much sleep as we are used to with Jarrett. She goes down fairly easily around 7ish (although she has to be pretty drowsy) but then usually wakes up once during the night anywhere from 1-3. Unfortunately, she usually stays up for about 1.5 hours. Then she is up for the day at 5 when I get up for work. She basically naps anytime we are in the car and then maybe at 9am in the morning. She pretty much just does what she wants and all attempts of getting her on a normal schedule have been abandoned.
Fun: June likes chasing after Jarrett and doing whatever he is doing (which sometimes doesn't work out so well for her). She likes to play with whatever he is playing with, cars, animals, trains, etc. And this usually results in Jarrett attempting to grab them back. June stands her ground though and attacks him right back to get her toy back. She loves music and small stuffed animals like beanie babies. She also likes to throw balls and hang out in her swing outside (turns out February is a good time to swing when it is 75 degrees outside).
