Easter

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit during Spring Break and for Easter. It was pretty nice out that week so we got to spend a lot of time outside. We visited the playground and just spent time out in the back yard. Jarrett & June particularly liked having Grandpa to push them around on the tricycle.

 Jarrett also dyed eggs for the first time with Grandma. He seemed to enjoy this. He likes pouring and mixing things and was very careful.

 We had been reading some books about dying eggs and the Easter bunny, so Jarrett had some idea of what was going on, but not really. But he did wake up that morning and ask for the bunny. He was very excited to get an Easter basket and some new fun things to play with. But he was super excited to hunt for Easter eggs in the backyard. June got special treatment and got to search via tricycle. They had a lot of fun. I think Jarrett thought that my parents brought the Easter bunny because as they were leaving he said, "Bunny going home?" and then after they left, he saw the plastic eggs still in the kitchen and got really upset because he thought the Easter bunny forgot his eggs! He ran to the door with them and tried to catch the bunny  before he left.
