As always, I am a bit behind!
Jarrett continues to love his train tracks. He always brings along other things like his animals to join in the fun. Here they are having a parade on the train tracks!
June was reading books to Harper. They have become fast friends. Especially at meal times.
We had to get a bit creative on some long days. Jarrett likes to play with his bean sensory bin...June likes to eat the beans, so we brought the kiddie pool in to provide somewhat of a barrier. It worked for a little bit until she figured out how to get in and out.
Jarrett has also been working on decorating this box for quite some time. Coloring, gluing pieces of paper and adding stickers. June likes to pull everything off of it and eat it.
This has happened only this one time. We looked over at dinner and she was asleep!
Jarrett had fun playing with Isaac and Declan at Isaac's birthday party! Seems like I had more pictures than this, but I am not sure where they went!
We've been enjoying some outside swing time.
We spend a lot of time at Barnes and Nobles.
June is standing and attempting to walk- thus reaching things she shouldn't be touching.
We checked out Storyville. June was happy to be big enough to be able to keep up with Jarrett this time.
Working on using a sippy cup... not so successful quite yet!
Bathtime with some Easter Eggs!
Jarrett likes to go to the nearby elementary school after I get home from work so he can play with his "friends." His "friends" are kids that are about 7-9 in an aftercare program. He walks right up to them and asks if he can play. Sometimes they just ignore him, but one kid said, "sure... we are playing hide and go seek." Jarrett had no idea what that was at the time. But he tried!
Checking out some books. She especially likes the "That's not my....." books.
We visited the zoo and Jarrett finally got to ride on the little train. He was so excited and waved to everyone. He talked about it for about 3 days after. We also saw the new baby giraffe, Willow." Jarrett came home talking about how cute the baby was.
June has also been enjoying the playground. She especially likes this tunnel.
June discovered Jarrett's little chair and loves climbing in and out of it.
Believe it or not, these are actually pictures from the dentist office. Jarrett went to his first visit and had a lot of fun playing in the waiting room, riding the car and the boat and playing Ms. Pacman. Some boy about 7 or 8 also taught Jarrett how to play some other video game there while we waited. Once Jarrett saw the dentist, he wasn't as excited anymore. He didn't want to lay down in the chair, but he let me hold him while they checked out his teeth and put some fluoride treatment on.
And like I said earlier, June is getting into everything now. She particularly enjoys emptying drawers and cabinets and throwing the contents across the room!
