Jarrett finally got to try some solid food!
The doctor told us a while back to go ahead and give Jarrett some oatmeal but we decided to wait until we returned from MA in case it didn't settle well.
So Jarrett tried his first bite of oatmeal on January 1st. He's been very interested in our food, so he was very curious about getting his own. The oatmeal wasn't so much of a hit. He pushed a lot of it out of his mouth and made a mess. As you can see, we don't have a high chair yet (it's on the way) which makes things a bit messy for us too! Jarrett also tried some pureed sweet potatoes which he enjoyed much more. He doesn't have any teeth yet so he'll probably mostly stick to some purees for now, but I did pick him up some avocado to try in the mesh feeder. He's been wanting milk more than usual and has returned to waking up to eat at night so hopefully this will help.
