Trip to MA

 On the 27th, we headed up to MA to visit my parents. Tyler, Melissa and Archie were also visiting from Portland, OR. (They hadn't met Jarrett yet!) Our drive wasn't nearly as bad as we expected. Jarrett slept most of the time and we found a route through PA that let us avoid the NJ Turnpike and the George Washington Bridge. We left early at about 6 am and arrived by 2:30pm with only a few stops for Harper and Jarrett to stretch their legs.

 
Jarrett had fun playing with Cousin Archie. Archie sang him songs, read him stories and showed him how to use his new Ipod touch.

 It was Grandpa Ray's birthday, so Jarrett made sure to spend some time with him. Greg and Marlene also visited for Granpa's birthday dinner.

Harper was pretty happy to be in MA too and had lots of fun playing with his new buddy, Archie.

 We only stayed for a few days as we didn't want to get caught in New Year's traffic, so we headed home on the 30th. The drive home wasn't quite as smooth as the drive there (mostly because we were trying to take some back roads and the GPS kept rerouting us and getting us lost!)

We made it home for New Years. We went to the neighbors, Carol and Sean's for New Year's Eve for a bit for some Mexican fun. Jarrett hung out for a bit, but went to sleep in his carrier after a while. We came home around 10 to make sure Jarrett got a good night's sleep in his bed. We were happy to end the new year, the same way we started 2014, with another neighbor setting off some professional grade fire works!
