Christmas 2014

Things are winding down from Christmas and I am just now having time to update the blog (not to mention our spotty internet).

For Christmas Eve, Jacques and Jaina came over for dinner and to exchange some gifts. Jarrett got some adorable clothes as well as this toy from Shahana (the daycare provider). Most of all though he seemed to like the wrapping paper. He stayed up past his bedtime but stayed happy and was no problem to put to bed a little later.

Putting Jarrett to bed late, didn't deter him from waking up early on Christmas morning. Santa managed to get past a sleepy Harper to fill our stockings.

Jarrett and I let Daddy sleep for a bit and played with some toys he already had like the toy from Shahana and this bouncy horse one of Jamal's coworkers handed down to him.

Once Daddy got up, Jarrett was excited to open some presents. He got lots of books and a few toys. Santa kept it pretty simple this year knowing that Jarrett already had so many things to play with.

A little later in the day, we all got ready to join the family at Aunt Chris's house. Jarrett had some ornaments to give everyone. We tried to hand prints but only one came out (and it's on our tree) so everyone just got cute little snowflakes, stars and gingerbread men.

There was a lot going on at Aunt Chris's house and Jarrett had been asleep in the car so he was a little thrown off when he arrived to so many people wanting to play with him. He settled down shortly and then was happy to visit with everyone.

He especially enjoyed the gift exchange and watching everyone open presents. There was so much going on and he just laughed and played and took it all in.

After the gift exchange, it was nearing Jarrett's bedtime so he fell asleep in his carrier before we headed home.
